Technical Sales Executive for the Leinster Region

We require a Technical Sales Executive, for the Leinster region, to join our Sales Team.This external role is to provide the highest level of support to our customer base predominantly in the Leinster region for the range of products and systems that Core Distribution supply.

 

  • The Role

    To advise and support Electrical Consultant Engineers, Electrical Contractors, and Electrical Wholesale Customers on the correct products and best systems to be used within any given project.
    Where required to be able to prepare quotations based on the interpretation of information given within the tendering process. Offering market-leading solutions which show the USPs of our product range.
    Working closely with Core Distribution’s manufacturing partners to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market trends and pricing structures, as well as liaising and supporting the Internal Sales Team.
     
  • The Requirements.

    • To have the knowledge and ability to interpret technical drawings and specification information and convert this information into project solutions.
    • To have sales experience working within the Irish electrical market, promoting electrical installation equipment with Consultant Engineers, Electrical Contractors, and Electrical Wholesalers.
    • Excellent communication skills, professional email communication ability and a good telephone manner. Strong customer service skills, and a confident, approachable, enthusiastic outgoing personality is a must.
    • The ability to work with Microsoft, Sage200 & CRM Applications.
    • Experience in interpreting electrical components on AutoCAD drawings would be useful but not essential.
    • Technical qualification and/or experience essential.
    • A full clean drivers’ licence is essential as a company car is provided.
  • Renumeration: Depending on experience.
    Statutory Pension (opt-out 2025)
    Company Car, Mobile Phone, Laptop, and full product training will be provided.

Internal Sales Executive

We are currently looking for an experienced full-time Internal Sales Executive to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic award-winning sales team based in Dublin

 

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • To be an integral part of an Internal Sales Team, promoting and managing the sales process of our product ranges to the electrical wholesale customer base nationwide.
  • To understand the customers’ needs and requirements and respond proactively using best practice to deliver the highest level of customer service.
  • To engage and support the External Sales Team with project quotations and technical information, when required.
  • To assist in the overall day to day running of the sales department enabling the department to run to its full potential including additional ad hoc duties where required.
  • To liaise with the Warehouse Team as and when required to provide the highest level of service to our customer base.
  • To maintain your own quotations and records on the CRM system as well as maintain accurate contact information at all times.
  • To report to the Internal Sales Team Lead
  • Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Outlook.
  • Experience with CRM systems, Sage 200 or similar would be an advantage.
  • Ability to problem solve, multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
  • A team player with excellent communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
  • An ability to develop and maintain relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Ideally to have previous sales experience into the electrical installation and/or electrical wholesale markets.
  • Renumeration – Depending on Experience.

    Job Type: Full-time,
    Schedule: Monday to Friday, Office Based Role 8am-5pm Monday-Thursday, 8am-4pm Friday.
    Supplemental pay types: Yearly bonus on target achievement
    Ability to commute/relocate.
