Cable management External Sales executive.
We are currently looking for an experienced full-time External Sales Executive to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic award-winning sales team based in Belfast
Main purpose of job:
To increase sales and gross margins by focusing on Marshall Tufflex/Basor metal cable management, MT aluminum trunking specification and MT PVCu with wholesalers.
Responsibilities:
Responsible to: The Belfast Hub Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Belfast Hub Manager to help implement the company strategic plan which will be presented by the hub managers in the first quarter of each trading year.
- Meet with the Hub Manager on a monthly and quarterly basis to review the strategic plan.
- Where deemed appropriate visit our overseas manufacturing partners to continue developing our close working relationships. .
- Work closely with the internal sales team to develop relationships and maximize sales opportunities.
Main tasks of job:
- Communicate daily with the Belfast hub manager and the internal sales team on live and ongoing projects.
- Achieve/exceed annual sales and gross profit targets set by your hub manager.
- Call with Contractors, Consultants and Wholesalers on a regular basis promoting MT one stop cable management offer.
- Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and to expand the company’s customer base
- Complete all ‘CRM paperwork’ and follow established procedures throughout each project
- Develop and maintain a database of qualified prospects – Follow up on new prospects and referrals resulting from telephone, marketing and field activity.
- Build and maintain strong long-lasting customer relationships and understand their business needs and objectives.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations (Marshall Tufflex Metal, Aluminium and PVCu Trunking systems)
- Establish and maintain effective team relationships with all support departments
- Report on metal cable management trends and report back to hub manager on competitors tactical pricing and route to market.
- Represent the company on trade shows, breakfast mornings and other marketing events etc.
- Upskill yourself with a training plan focusing on our main manufacturing brands.

- Generate sales opportunities through outbound calls and inbound inquiries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Assist in quoting, order processing, and product recommendations.
- Work closely with the external sales team to develop strategies for customer acquisition and retention.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales pipeline in our CRM system.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely delivery of orders.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor activities to effectively support customer needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as logistics and product management to meet customer expectations and drive business growth.
