The story

The €100m Reflector is set to be a landmark office and residential building, in the heart of Dublin’s central business district, Grand Canal Dock – home of a national and multi-national companies, including, Accenture, Airbnb, Facebook, Google, Twitter and LinkedIn.

The 6-storey over basement office building extends to over 11,600 sq m and is finished to the highest standards, featuring LEED Gold V4 accreditation and A3 BER Certification. The contemporary building has been designed to efficiently accommodate over 1,000 employees and can be split in to two distinct wings to fit requirements of all sizes.

The solution

We created and supplied a unique modular wiring design coupled with a lighting control system:

  • Plug & play modular wiring components from Wieland Electric, pre-assembled and pre-tested, providing ease of installation on site and flexibly for future modifications.
  • Lighting control system from Delmatic, based on a DALI open protocol combined with our modular design to allow a decentralised building
automation via plug & play that is easy to engineer and install, and which provide total flexibility to the users.

The success

  • The pluggable connection technology allows for cost reductions, less time spent on site and flexibility of the installation.
  • The intelligent, scalable and modular lighting systems achieve comprehensive central management and monitoring of the installation with powerful local user control.
  • Overall the solution provided reaches the environmental and user comfort objectives of today’s modern office buildings, offering convenience and
    performance in one touch.
