The story

One of Ireland’s largest construction projects needed a modern, secure and extremely fast solution to power over 100,000m2 of floor area.

The solution

Core supplied a complete Modular Wiring system as well as Cable Management  to deliver a faster and more accurate installation on one of Ireland’s largest construction projects – integrating check-in hall, arrivals, high capacity Pier and all Office areas.

We used Wieland’s Metalynx Armoured and Gesis GST Standard modular wiring and EIB Bus to increase speed of installation with reduced chance of errorsMarshall-Tufflex’s all-curved CAT 6a compliant profile trunking Odyssey was installed into the offices and in front-of-house desk areas. Tens of thousands of linear metres of Marshall Tufflex Supertube was used in the ceiling as an alternative to traditional steel conduit.

The success

The solution provided was much quicker to install, which delivered significant labour saving benefits. It reduced the chance of errors on the installation of all General Services, Dali Lighting and KNX circuits in T2, which, therefore, guarantees a reliable data and power distribution. The 28 million passengers a year using the facilities are ensured security and continuity of the service.
